Two-time Academy Award
winning actor and director, Denzel Washington, attributes his
success to his childhood mentor. As he says, “You don't go it
alone. We're all meant to walk a certain path at a certain time in
a certain direction for a certain purpose. I believe that too. But
I also believe we miss our marks from time to time, and without a
certain push in the right direction we might never find the path we
were meant to follow.” This booklet, along with the guidance
of a mentor, is designed to help teens and young adults find and
stay on the path meant for them by having someone there to listen,
encourage, support, nudge, and find their strengths. Being mentored
by a Validating Mentor means being enabled to make a difference in
the world socially, financially, and spiritually. The Validating
Mentor assures that the mentoree feels accepted and directed. The
Pathway to a Mentoree¿s Dreams is included in this booklet to help
those being mentored to achieve their dreams.
